Planning permission has been received to a develop a new regional distribution centre in Scotland.

Construction of the 504,000ft2 composite multi-temperature facility at ProLogis Park in Newhouse, which is close to Junction 6 of the M8, is expected to start soon, with operations fully under way in 2011. The new facility will see the closure of Co-op sites at Harthill and Cumbernauld.
